🦉 The Owl and the Mirror

Once in a quiet forest, 🏞️ there lived an old owl 🦉 who was known as the wisest of all animals. Every creature came to him for advice.

One day, a proud fox 🦊 visited the owl and asked, “Wise Owl, how can I become as wise as you?”

The owl replied, “Go into the forest and look into the mirror hidden in the lake. 🌊 You will find the answer.”

The fox ran to the lake and saw his own reflection. At first, he laughed. “This is just me!” he said. But the more he looked, the more he saw—not just his face, but his anger, his pride, and his fear. 😨

Days passed. The fox kept returning to the lake, each time learning more about himself. 🌗

When he returned to the owl, he bowed deeply and said, “Thank you. I thought wisdom was about knowing everything. But now I see—it starts with knowing myself.”

The owl smiled. 😊 “Exactly. Wisdom begins not with answers, but with understanding who you are.”

Moral: The first step to true wisdom is to look within.

🦉 부엉이와 거울

조용한 숲 속에 아주 지혜로운 부엉이가 살고 있었어요. 🦉
숲속 동물들은 모두 부엉이에게 조언을 구하러 왔지요.

어느 날, 자신만만한 여우 🦊가 부엉이를 찾아왔어요.
"지혜로운 부엉이님, 저도 당신처럼 지혜로워지려면 어떻게 해야 하나요?"

부엉이는 말했어요.
“숲 속 호수에 숨겨진 거울을 보세요. 그 안에 답이 있습니다.”

여우는 호수로 달려갔고, 물속에 비친 자기 모습을 보았어요.
처음엔 웃으며 말했죠. "이건 그냥 나잖아!"
하지만 시간이 지나며 그는 자신 안의 분노, 자만, 두려움을 보게 되었어요.

며칠 동안 여우는 계속 거울을 보러 갔고, 점점 자신을 이해하기 시작했지요.

그리고 다시 부엉이를 찾아와 깊이 고개를 숙였어요.
“감사합니다. 전 지혜가 많은 걸 아는 것이라 생각했어요.
하지만 이제 알겠어요. 지혜는 자신을 아는 것에서 시작된다는 걸요.”

부엉이는 미소 지으며 말했어요. 😊
“그래요. 진정한 지혜는 자신을 이해하는 것에서 시작되죠.”
